Kate Maree, a Melbourne-based artist, transform spaces into personal works of art that resonate deeply with their inhabitants. Her unique vision is inspired by her upbringing in outback NSW, where her vivid imagination and whimsical storytelling brought the dry landscape to life. Kate believes that any place, regardless of its exterior, can be a realm of magic and wonder.

Kate’s mission is to create artwork that fosters a profound connection. Whether it’s a detailed drawing of your garden, a nostalgic depiction of your childhood home, or a whimsical fairyland for a bedroom, Kate’s pieces evoke personal emotions and memories. Her art invites viewers to explore its details and engage with it intimately, only if they choose to.

Unlike traditional centrepiece art that demands attention, Kate’s work is subtly captivating. Her creations invite you to look closer, fostering a sense of intimacy and warmth that mirrors the comforting feeling of home.

Let Kate bring a touch of magic and personal connection to your living space. Discover how her art can transform your home into an inviting, intimate haven that reflects the beauty and wonder of your life and memories.

Artist Bio

The Enchanted series is inspired by outback Australia, growing up surrounded by farm land and it is a nostalgic experience to visit my family. The landscape is often dry and hot, yet I wanted to add the whimsical details to each drawing to convey the magic it feels being in such a place. It was a childhood of fairy gardens and adventure, of snails and flying books.
